The Class of 1968 will celebrate its 45th anniversary.  Here are some more details:

                                                            So pay attention!
Don’t fret by the prospect of attending your class reunion. Please come and enjoy yourself in the relaxed atmosphere of Sweet Arrow Lake.
Realize That You Do Not Have to Impress Anyone Anymore
Back in high school, we all strived to make ourselves impressive to others. We wanted to fit in and belong, to be part of the crowd that everybody admired and envied. All high schools, back in the day and even now, have social "caste systems". That's just part of the dynamics of growing up.
The important thing to remember is that we are all full-fledged adults. There is no need to impress anyone.   There is no need to put on airs.  Be happy for those who accept you and ignore those who don't.  Five years ago about 5 classmates attended their first reunion. All survived and last word was that they all had a good time.
Bring Your Sense of Humor With You
Humor should definitely accompany you to the class reunion. That way, you won't allow yourself to take things too seriously.
Stop worrying about how people are going to perceive you. The chances are that most of the people there will probably have changed a lot. Learn to take it all in stride and even laugh about it.  There will be name tags for everyone (with font large enough to read!) So don’t worry about recognizing other people. Come to the reunion with a smile and accept others the same way you want to be accepted.
A pre-reunion “ice breaker” is tentatively scheduled for Friday evening , October 18th at approximately 8 PM at Maroon’s on N. Centre St. Pottsville.
Lodging Available: The Partridge House B&B, 315 S. Centre St., Pottsville (622-8388); The Stone House B&B, Sch Haven (385-2115), Hampton Inn, Pine Grove (345-4505), Comfort Inn, Pine  Grove (345-8031), Ramada Inn, Pottsville (622-4600).
Other things to do: Yuengling Brewery Tours available Fridays 10 and 1, Sat at 10; Schuylkill County Historical Society (622-7540);   Hidden Valley Golf Course (800)428-4631.  The Greystone Restaurant and Bar, N. Centre Street, Pottsville (www.thegstone.com)
Check the Class Blog for updates and more information.  www.nativity1968.blogspot.com If everyone who is thinking of coming contacts one or two others, attendance will become contagious. However, if you can’t make it send in a photo and/or note which will be available at the Lake Club House.

I read the news today, oh boy.....

                                  SALLY STARR IS DEAD

We all mourn the passing of a great icon from the 1950s.  By the way New Jersey Governor Chris Christie did not order that all of the flags in New Jersey be lowered to half-mast. That was only for sax player Clarence Clemons.  However he did plan to visit various Popeye Chicken restaurants.
