library

Here are some '60s girls in the school library wearing the latest in school fashion.
If you are planning to attend the reunion, then send in your reservations now. I think the Book of Love had been checked out years ago and never returned. The library had many other books, but I don't ever remember ever checking one out.
Here is a TIME magazine's list of the top ten most banned books in the 20th century (of which the 1960s was a part of):
10. Candide by Voltaire
9. Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain
8. Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley
7. 1984, by George Orwell
6. The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger
5. Lolita, by Vladmir Nabokov
4. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, by Maya Angelou
3. The Anarchist Cookbook, by William Powell
2. The Satanic Nurses...I mean...The Satanic Verses, by Salman Rushdie
1. Harry Potter, by J.K. Rowling
